Red Creek

Red Creek is a 12 x 16 oil painting on a cardboard (very heavy) support. This is another of my experiments using a support different from canvas panels. Many Picasso paintings used cardboard as supports, so this is not an unknown procedure, but I make certain to tell followers not only the media but also the support used.

Three Trees

This painting is also on a different kind of support. It is canvas paper mounted on a very hard piece of card board. The size is 9 by 11 3/4″ . This is obviously not a standard size, but I had the supplies on hand, so I decided to try it, and wanted to show it to my artist friends to give them an idea for trying a new support.

Perryville Cabin

This 11 x 14 oil painting is on a very hard card board support. I enjoyed painting on this surface, but some people might not like the use of cardboard as a support even though Picasso often used it and his paintings have survived quite well!
