Snowy Landscape
There are three main sections in this 20 x 24 painting–a shadow in the foreground, then a white area, and finally a darker section where the house is located. Three areas in a picture help to establish distance.
Road to the Barn and Barn on Hillside
Road to the Barn is 12 x 16. I was primarily interested in painting a dirt road and the barn was a second thought! The painting of the barn on the hillside is 14 x 18 and this time a simple dirt path leads to the barn.
Autumn Landscape
Same landscape, slightly different place and certainly a few months later!

Snowy Gate
This is a study of snow! I can’t remember where this idea came from.
BJ’s Grocery
I seldom paint riders and horses! This time I combined an old storefront and dirt road with some human/animal interest. The painting is 18 x 24.

This is a 16 x 20 painting of a rural scene which was painted from several photographs of trees, roads, and bushes.

A summer sky. This is an 8 x 10 small painting predominately focused on clouds.
