Seventy-sixth Winter
I was interested in painting snow and frozen ice in this piece. The old house I fancied to be 76 years old. The three added women in black add a feeling of strangeness to this art.
Eureka Springs
A wonderful town to visit! Probably too cold in the winter for me, though.
Spring Cafe
A cafe sign and a coca-cola sign posted on an old house made me wonder–is it really a cafe or just a kid’s idea of ornamentation? I added the hydrangeas and gave it a spring time look.
Old Buildings
The top painting is a store on the square of an Arkansas town and the second painting I called “Eighty-second year” because someone told me that the building was 82 years old!.
Reyno, Arkansas
I was mostly interested in the roof of this small house! Reyno, Arkansas is a small town in east Arkansas. I have done several houses in this area.
French doors
I liked the French door look of this painting. The mass of pot plants was an added feature.
Front Porch
The challenge to me in this painting was the perspective! It is mostly successful, I think, in depicting an old fashioned porch. I am beginning to be interested in architectural structures.
Jeann’s Cafe
This is a 12 x 16 painting, an early beginning to my interest in painting urban scenes. I will show more urban paintings later.
